Liquid Soap Dispenser

A look at the many soap dispensers, hand soaps, and other antibacterial mechanisms.

Cleanliness in the kitchen and bathroom is important in terms of stopping the spread of germs and bacteria. This is especially the case for hands and washing these after a visit to the bathroom or prior to preparing food and cooking in the kitchen can help you and your home remain safer and more hygienic. In days gone by, in both the home and public buildings, bars of soap were commonly used for hand washing. However this has changed over the years with liquid soap dispenser equipment becoming much more popular.

A liquid soap dispenser is a small device which is essentially a pump. When triggered it releases a small quantity of liquid soap into the hands of the person using it, which is then used to wash their hands. They are usually set up next to a sink in the bathroom or kitchen and there are a few different varieties available in terms of the way they operate and the way they can be used.

A liquid soap dispenser can be purchased which works in one of two ways. Manually operated soap dispensers have a button or trigger which needs to be physically pressed to dispense the soap. However there are also automatic soap dispensers which are generally battery powered. These have a sensor which detects motion under the nozzle such that when someone places their hands there, the dispenser automatically releases a set quantity of soap. These are essentially touch-free which increases the hygiene. They can also be more economical in dispensing the soap as opposed to manually operated models and this can make the soap last longer. For these reasons automatic soap dispensers are a popular choice.

A liquid soap dispenser can also be mounted in a few different ways. Some of the common options include counter top mounted or wall mounted models. These types of soap dispensers are basically secured in place and can be refilled with soap whenever they run low. There are also free standing soap dispensers which are typically plastic pump bottles. While some of these can be refilled, many are disposable.

While many soap dispensers release the soap in liquid form, it is also possible to get a foaming soap dispenser. This has liquid soap in the container although air is infused into this as it is dispensed turning it into a foam or lather. This means that less water is required for hand washing and as you are using foam rather than liquid soap it can leave your hands feeling less sticky, especially if you wash them quickly.

Some of the well known brand names for liquid soap dispenser models include

Sloan, Umbra and Dr. Perlmutter’s. In terms of cost they can vary in price depending on size, brand name and method of operation. At the affordable end of the market basic soap dispensers are available for around $5 to $15. However larger, more sophisticated models can be more expensive with some commercial automatic soap dispensers costing up to $100.

If you are concerned about hygiene in the bathroom or kitchen then a liquid soap dispenser can be a good addition to your property. They make it easy to clean your hands in a hygienic manner and can help in stopping germs being spread around. For these reasons they can be a good choice to make for your home or commercial building.
